In 2010 The Silks burst onto the Providence music scene. Word of the band’s high-flying performance quickly spread through New England that this act is a must-see. They soon caught the attention of Paul Westerberg and recorded their 2013 debut Last American Band with The Replacement handling production duties. 2015 saw Tyler-James Kelly and Jonas Parmelee joined by Sam Jodrey as they released their follow up Turn Me On. In 2017 the long-time trio expanded with veteran guitarist Johnny Trama joining the fold.
The Silks have built a reputation as one of the top bands in the Northeast. Their popularity helped them take home two Boston Music Awards as well as share the stage with the likes of Roky Erickson, The Replacements, G. Love & Special Sauce, Lucero, Drive-By Truckers, and Dirty Heads. The band is currently at work on their third album. With countless miles of experience under their belt and a seemingly endless catalog of songs, The Silks are a well-oiled machine ready to take their act on the road.
